Discover ~Waddington

Waddington is a charming community located in Northern New York, offering stunning views of the St. Lawrence River and easy access to the Canadian border. It is a prime destination for outdoor adventure and relaxation.

Explore the rich history, charming shops, and vibrant culture that make Waddington a unique destination for travelers and locals alike. Whether you're interested in fishing, boating, or simply enjoying the serene beauty of nature, Waddington has something for everyone.

The Village of Waddington, with around 2,200 residents, is a small, close-knit community situated on the US-Canadian border, providing a front-row seat to international ships sailing on the St. Lawrence Seaway. It also offers some of the best fishing opportunities and the most spectacular sunsets in the North Country.

Waddington offers several recreational opportunities, such as walking trails along the river that connect to the town beach. At the beach, visitors can enjoy a family picnic, use playground facilities, or take a swim at the fully staffed beach. From the beach, continue along the trail to the top of Leishman Point for breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River.

The town also hosts local and international carp fishing tournaments and some of the best muskie, northern, and bass fishing in the area. For those who enjoy camping, there is "Coles Creek State Park" located within the town's boundaries, as well as several locally owned and operated bed and breakfasts.

The outskirts of town are dotted with family farms, green rolling fields, acres of woodlands, and historic bridges and homes.

Waddington takes pride in its community, heritage, and the many features it offers to all who visit. Everyone is welcome to join us any time of the year.!
